Well....... in class we did do wayyyy better in the game. We realized the more we talked the further we got. I guess it's true......communication is the key. Communication in every aspect of life is important and you don't get far without it! I thought the homework was "different" this week. It wasn't hard to come up with a situation that should have been handled differently, but it was hard to pick it apart. I do have to say that problems are easier to solve when you look back at them! I guess that goes with the saying.....shoulda coulda woulda
Otherwise, things are going good and I start work again tomorrow, so we are doing our group work tonight. It looks self explanatory, but we'll see :)

Totally went better. And as I talked about on my blog, it is sooo much easier to get things done when nobody feels like have to play the "I'm the boss" card.
ReplyDeleteAlso Christy.... hind sight is realy 20/20. I will definitely be working on the communication aspect from now on with anything I do. That game proved the importance of it. The only thing needed is focus. Otherwise nothing will get done.
Christy,
ReplyDeleteMy group's gameboard got more filled after the second game night too. I think we felt more comfortable with the game and had a little more knowledge and experience behind us. We still had our troubles, but I guess that was to be expected.
I agree that communication is a very important component when it comes to working in a group, or even a pair. You have to let the other person or other people know your thoughts, feelings, and ideas. And it good to let others share also.
Have a great school year!!!
Communication is so important, especially in a situation where there might be disagreement or conflict. Think of a marriage. Communication is one of the most important factors! I had a little trouble with the analyzing change sheet. The "change" that I picked went pretty well the first time and it was hard to think of things that we could've done differently.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the game went better for everyone once we started to understand how it worked. I thought our group had the advantage because we only had three, and like you said communication was key. I think at times it is easier to try to communicate, and agree, with less people. I know our group tried to make certain changes happen to quickly and doing the game helped me understand why other steps should be taken first.
